What’s In a Name?
Why is it called “EllDan Corp?”
EllDan is short for Elliott & Dan Steele.
Dan & Elliott are the sons of EllDan Corp’s owner, Kevin Steele.
Dan’s on the left. Elliott’s on the right.
Elliott is the youngest – 28. He just finished his PhD at Dartmouth and is now working in Northern CA. This picture is from February, 2019 in Costa Rica, where Elliott was studying the local ecology. Some of his photography can be seen here.
Dan was the oldest. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 22 in an accident. After graduating from Chapman University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, he went to work at the NFL Network. They did a beautiful tribute to him…
The name EllDan is in memory of Dan and his kind, loving and humorous way of living, and for Elliott – because it’s important to always keep our loved ones close, even when they’re far away.
